Kopin Laboratory Opening

NIH-funded postdoctoral position in obesity research. The project combines bioinformatic analysis with a forward genetic screen of Drosophila mutant fly lines to identify novel genes regulating feeding and fat deposition.  Follow-up of corresponding mammalian homologs, as candidate modulators of metabolic function, will include biochemical and molecular pharmacological approaches in vitro and in vivo.   Experience with molecular biology is required; some knowledge of Drosophila genetics is desirable.
